Economic Development:

Industrial, commercial, retail, tourism development (B Use Classes), public/community uses, and main town centre uses; excludes housing development. This also includes development within Class E, B2 and B8 which supports economic activity. Other employment uses may also be included where they align with Local Plan policies and where they benefit the local economy.

Employment uses (new glossary entry):

Land or premises used for economic activity falling within Class E c) to g (commercial, business and service), Class B2 (general industrial) and Class B8 (storage and distribution) of the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 (as amended).

Other employment uses (new glossary entry):

Uses that do not fall within the primary employment use classes Ec)-g), B2 or B8, but which nevertheless generate employment or contribute to economic activity.
