7. Next Steps

7.1 Thank you for your interest in future development and land use in Rutland. The closing date for making comments on this document is Wednesday 14^th October 2026.

7.2 After this consultation has closed we intend to publish all the consultation responses and our consideration of them by the end of November 2026. The next consultation, on the new local plan content and evidence, is planned to start on 15^th April 2027. These and later plan stages are shown on Figure 2.1 of this document.

7.3 You can find more details of all the engagement steps and proposed timings in Section 3 of the draft Rutland Local Plan 2026 to 2046: Consultation and Engagement Strategy. The latest plan preparation timetable can be found on the Local Plan timetable page of our website.
