2. How we will prepare the new Local Plan

2.1 This new local plan will be prepared in accordance with the new plan making regulations. Figure 2.1 sets out the main stages of local plan preparation under the new system - including this Scoping Consultation stage. It also indicates when we think each stage will happen. The stages of plan preparation will be different to what you might be used to; a useful graphical summary of the new plan making system has also been prepared by consultants ARUP.

2.2 Our timetable may change as we progress through the process. You can keep up to date by checking this webpage; the timetable will be reviewed every month and the website updated if necessary.
