We assume reference to Great North Road refers to the old road running alongside the A1 and not to the A1 itself. We see no real need for a new roundabout but would have no objections if it is felt that it is needed for road safety reasons. Traffic leaving the A1 using this as a slip road certainly tends to travel at high speed. Design and location of such a roundabout should take into consideration additional traffic accessing the current Woolfox golf club chalet and hotel planning application.
