I strongly support the Planned Limit of Development line for Belton in Rutland as shown on the map in the current Regulation 18 draft Local Plan. Belton is a particularly fine example of a High Rutland landscape and development beyond the agreed LPD would detract from its historic character irreversibly.

The current plan is set to protect the historical nature of this village and there is sufficient areas within the current boundaries to allow suitable, and .'in-keeping', development with the infrastructure available within the village. Travelling to most infrastructure support involves significant vehicle transport.

I write in support of the proposed five modest changes to the Belton in Rutland PLD, and specifically in opposition to any suggested change, at this time, to the present PLD boundary south of the former Belton House Care Home.

I support the proposed planned limits to development for Belton in Rutland on the grounds that there are opportunities for further housing within this area without extending the village into the countryside .

In keeping with the vast majority of parishioners who attended the recent Parish Council Meeting on Jan 3rd 2024 I support the RCC's proposed boundaries of development as detailed on the current draft plan. The council also agreed to support the proposal so I am surprised that no response has yet been lodged by them. The meeting also discussed possible changes submitted by a developer to the development boundary by Belton House and again the vast majority of the attendees voiced their disapproval and concern should this boundary be moved to accommodate future housing devlopment.

I support the Planned Limit of Development Line for Belton as shown in the regulation 18 drat Local Plan. Belton is currently a small quiet village and if planning limits are allowed to be extended it will lose its unique character and become another busy, sprawling, heartless place.

I do not agree that the development line around Belton should move. Our village has suffered some very inappropriate development in the last few years, and the last thing I want to see is more damage to our village.
Belton has no facilities and is therefore a poor choice of location for more houses.
The proposed change in development line to the South of Belton house will irredeemably spoil the look of the village, and the view from it.
The parish council meeting to discuss this on the third of January was very well attended with a large majority vote to refuse the proposed changes to the development line.
My message to the county council is 'Please leave us alone.'
