Appendix 1: Organisations that we will consult

Tables 1 – 3 below set out our initial thoughts about who we will consult. The list will change as the plan progresses through its preparation stages. In particular, Local Government reorganisation in 2028 means that the names and administrative areas of some of the organisations listed below will change.

East Mercia Rivers Trust	Works to improve river environments, water quality and natural flood management.
Woodland Trust	National charity promoting woodland protection, management and creation.
British Horse Society	Represents equestrian interests and countryside access through bridleways and rights of way.
Home Builders Federation	National body representing the house-building industry and residential development interests.
Country Land and Business Association (CLA)	Represents landowners, farmers and rural businesses affected by planning policy.
Rutland Chamber of Commerce	Affiliated with the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, it is a not for profit that supports local businesses in Rutland.

Rutland Youth Council	Represents the views of young people in Rutland and provides a mechanism for engaging younger residents on issues affecting their communities and future development of the county.
Community and residents’ associations	Local groups representing community, neighbourhood and residents' interests.
Schools, academies, academy trusts and other education providers	Education providers with an interest in school capacity, accessibility, education infrastructure and the implications of future growth.
Primary healthcare providers	Providers of primary healthcare services with an interest in future population growth and healthcare infrastructure requirements.
Registered providers of affordable housing	Providers of affordable and social housing with interests in housing delivery, housing management and meeting local housing needs.
Major landowners and developers with interests in Rutland	Landowners, promoters and developers with interests in land, development opportunities and future growth within the county.
Minerals and Waste Operators	Operators with interests in minerals extraction, waste management, associated infrastructure and the implications of future development within and adjoining Rutland.
