Call for Sites Update 2025
Call for Sites Update 2025
We are currently updating our Call for Sites information to keep our evidence base current. This update allows interested parties to submit new sites or provide updated information about previously submitted sites. The Call for Sites update will open on Friday 30th May and close on Friday 25th July 2025.
Sites submitted previously in the 2022 or 2023 Call for Sites exercises or through the Local Plan process do not need to be resubmitted unless you wish to change the site area or proposed use or withdraw your site from further consideration. You can see the sites which have previously been submitted here.
This Call for Sites asks people to submit sites with potential for:
- Residential use (including market and affordable housing, self-build housing and specialist housing)
- Sites for Gypsy and Traveller and Travelling showpeople
- Commercial sites (such as retail, industry and offices)
- Broad locations for large scale mixed use development (such as urban extensions or new settlements)
- Infrastructure (such as health and community facilities)
Please note that submitting a site means it will be considered and assessed for its potential suitability for future development. This does not guarantee allocation for development in a Local Plan or that planning permission will be granted.
We will use the information received to inform technical documents that will be part of our development plan evidence base.
This Call for Sites is not part of the current Rutland Local Plan preparation process and will not be used in the forthcoming Local Plan Examination. It is part of early preparatory work for a new style development plan, which will be prepared following any changes to the Local Plan system proposed by the Government.
