We, as Oakham South Action Group, are very pleased that Brooke Road has been rejected by RCC as a site allocation and grateful that it is not required for comment in Reg 19. However, we wish to raise concerns about the down-grading from Red in the 2019 SHELAA for Highway Safety to Amber when nothing has changed, indeed things have got worse as there have been developments at Braunstone Rd and Brooke Rd (north side of the crossing). Details of Brooke Road itself are completely incorrect under the Highway Officer section. We wish the SHELAA 2019 to be re-instated.

On the Policies map we note that the Oakham inset looks to include land to the east of the A606 Burley Park Way and north of the A606 Stamford Road in the area covered by Policy EN10. AWS is concerned that the Policy
EN10 including its contradictions will prevent those environmental improvements including improving water quality and as a result mean that AWS would need to object to planning applications for new homes and businesses, who if connected would increase the nutrient loads being discharged via the Oakham WRC.
