Innovation is key to creating new jobs and attracting business investment. Diversity underpins innovation and RCC needs to promote a county which is open to everyone.
RCC should better support Oakham High Street to make it more attractive to independent retailers and entrepreneurs.
There should be a covered indoor 'market space' to promote pop-up stalls and food outlets.
I do not accept that Rutland has a prosperous and resilient economy as the state of our High Street in Oakham attests.

Stop the insidious decline of Oakham.
Speak to Stamford retailers about the support they get from their Council. There are very few negatives.
Think about turning the tide to positive in Oakham - even if it is only just positive.
Appreciate the qualities, potential and location of Oakham.
(I don't know enough about Uppingham - but I feel it does a lot better)

Would like to see a more positive approach creating an environment where the whole community bossiness ,voluntary sector and individuals can work in harmony to create etc etc, rather than the big brother support

We still await the economic development strategy that has taken nearly 18 months so far and would have helped this important local plan. This is a big question but I would highlight the need for a coordinated inward investment strategy closely involving the private sector, Instead of appointing consultants to produce another expensive report on town center's with no action plan produce an action plan . Understand business needs if for example we want a successful hospitality sector they need staff who in general are often young and low paid ,where do we house them and at what cost.

Support business investment and where possible attract investment which supports higher paid employment. Protect and maximise the use of the opportunities provided by unique assets like Rutland Water.

Recent policies propose intensive re-development of the St George’s Barracks site and greenfield development in the Edith Weston parish.
Whilst this represents a reduction from previous proposals, these proposals are at odds with the vision, particularly with respect to climate change, rural character and natural environment and infrastructure.
Similarly, they would be contrary to strategic objectives SO1, SO2, SO3, SO4, SO5, SO8, SO9, and SO10.
