Regulation 19 Rutland Local Plan

Representation ID: 8192

Received: 29/11/2024

Respondent: Healthwatch Rutland

Representation Summary:

It is not clear what organisation, if any, oversees the estate and buildings associated with NHS dental practices or opticians who offer NHS eye care.
For several years, access to NHS dentistry in Rutland has been below the LLR and England average. We would welcome some mention of this within the Local Plan and clear leadership from the council in ensuring adequate provision of community facilities with multifunctional use to include the provision of better access for Rutland residents to NHS dentistry and other health related activities.

Legally compliant? No

Sound? No

Duty to co-operate? Not specified

Representation Summary:

The document mentions Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Health Board; should that read Integrated Care Board?

Attached is a potentially out of date policy document about NHS primary care estates; as it was written by now decommissioned CCGs, is it still relevant?

And what about care closer to the patients and development of investigation facilities e.g. MRI scanners in the county?

Surely there must be some degree of collaboration with the ICBs in all the surrounding areas, not just LLR

'Integrated Health Board'.
